SHALEIKA VARGAS

Vargas is the founding attorney at Vargas Law and a proud member of the Northeast Ohio Hispanic community. Shaleika was born in Puerto Rico, but moved to Cleveland as a child. She attended Cleveland Public Schools and worked hard to learn English. During high school, Shaleika Volunteered at University Hospitals and the Cleveland APL.

Shaleika graduated from Cleveland's Early College High School with honors at age 16. She attended Case Western Reserve University, where she spent various semesters on the Dean's High Honors List. In addition to extracurriculars, Shaleika participated in Case's study abroad program to China. Shaleika Graduated from Case with a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology in 2010.

Shaleika started law school at Case in the fall of 2010. She was actively involved in the Black Law Student's Association and helped start the school's first Hispanic Law Student's Association. Shaleika worked as a law clerk at Kolick and Kondzer the last two years of law school. Shaleika was also selected to join the Milton A. Kramer Civil Litigation Clinic at Case, where she excelled at representing indigent clients.

Shaleika graduated from law school in 2013 at 23 and that fall started her own law firm. Shaleika built her business from nothing and now manages a multi-attorney law firm and support staff. Shaleika focuses on family law and civil litigation. She is one of the few attorneys in the Cleveland area who is a native Spanish-speaker. She serves a very diverse clientele, from indigent clients to business executives. She quickly established a reputation for winning cases, being professional and an excellent litigator. She still finds time to help the community, served on the Board of Spanish American for 3 years and does so much more! She has helped people and children escape abusive situations and makes a difference in the community everyday!
